The Pocket is an online blog, founded by Dr. Yvette Carrillo.

Her goal was to create a space where she could share her journey with other young professionals.

My vision was to create an outlet where I could express myself both a creatively and emotionally. I wanted to manefest all of this, while helping others who had similar goals/fears/dreams.

Over THREE years ago, back in 2019 my goal began to focus on building an online platform where I could extend my reach to young professionals. I wanted to create The Perio Pocket, because I saw how sharing my story could help spark a light of motivation in others. I had access to a small group of students, and I often found that we all had the same insecurities that people didn’t want to talk about. I, myself, however, have no problem talking.

Really, what I think The Perio Pocket came down to, was wanting somewhere safe where I could be completely raw and honest when sharing my “bumps” in the road (and maybe sprinkle in a little bit of my basic personality here and there).

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
